When asked why they kept their relationship private, Sonakshi explained, “Yaa, nazar,” referring to the belief in avoiding the evil eye. She added that, as an actress constantly in the limelight, it was important to keep certain aspects of her life private. “You’re already so much in the limelight; everybody knows everything about you. Something that is so dear to you should be kept for yourself,” she said, emphasizing the value of protecting personal moments from public scrutiny.
