Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa transports the viewers to the 90s era as it revolves around a VHS tape featuring a personal video of a couple that formed a mess in a small town. Raaj claims that the film is meant for a middle-class audience.

Raaj Shaandilyaa shared his idea of making a Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in an interview with Mid-day. According to him, the film is for middle-class people to give a social message with humour. In this country, the population is increasing every second also any video would go viral in seconds so the makers decided to highlight these issues in a humorous way.

Raaj said, "The idea was that a huge population of our country is coy, yet children are born every second. We are living in a world where any video can go viral within seconds. So, we decided to make a film for the middle class that has a message with a lot of humour and romance. I also wanted to explore the plight of the people at whose expense we laugh. [At the same time], we wanted to explore how people from small towns facing this dilemma would feel.”

Talking about writing a comedy genre, he said, “When I am writing, I am conscious that it should be something that the majority enjoys and no one should get hurt.” His previous film series Dream Girl is also a comedy drama.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video promises to be 97% parivarik, 3% maha parivarik with a unique mix of humor and nostalgia. The film produced by Bhushan Kumar under T-Series banner is slated to release in theaters on October 11.
