Famos T.V show 'Shaktimaan' actor actor Mukesh Khanna always remains in the news for his outspoken statements.  Recently, there was news that Ranveer Singh will play the character of 'Shaktimaan' in a film, but Mukesh Khanna was furious about Ranveer being cast in this character and completely denied this news. Now the actor has said that Ranveer Singh persuaded him for three hours to accept the casting of Shaktimaan. However, even after this he did not agree.

After expressing his disagreement on social media over Ranveer Singh being cast as 'Shaktimaan', Mukesh Khanna has now said that Ranveer had personally met him to convince him to accept the casting. However, Mukesh had clearly told Ranveer that Ranveer Singh did not have the quality that an actor should have for the character of Shaktimaan.

Recently while talking to Bollywood Thikana, Mukesh Khanna said, "Now people have come to know that Ranveer Singh came to convince me to play the role of Shaktimaan. I cannot even hide it because later people said that I praised Ranveer and called him a great actor. News started coming about Ranveer being confirmed to play the role of Shaktimaan, but I had not agreed to it."

The actor further added, "I have a conflict with Soni as well and I put up a video saying that I did not approve Ranveer to play the role and the reason is...Ranveer sat in front of me for three hours that day, but finally I had to tell him that what was supposed to be visible on his face was not there. He looks playful, like someone who can deceive others. But he is a great actor. When I praised him, I said that no one else in the film industry has energy like him, but I did not approve of him for the role. He must have felt bad. However, in the industry it is the producer who casts the actor, not anyone else. That photoshoot was a big reason why I was upset. When I saw that photoshoot, I said, kya kar raha hai yaar."

Talking about work front, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus. He will next be seen in Singham Again, featuring Ajay Devgn in the titular role. The movie also features Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff and others in pivotal roles.
