Govinda admitted to hospital after he misfires a bullet himself; Releases audio clip confirming the incident

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to hospital after he accidentally shot himself with his licensed gun. He sustained a bullet injury by misfiring his leg this morning. He was taken to the hospital and is now out of danger. This incident happened around 4:45 AM when he checked the weapon before leaving home. Reportedly the bullet stuck to his knee and immediate medical attention was required. Govinda was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai.

Well, there is no official statement from the actor’s family and team. As per reports, he was supposed to fly to Kolkata via an early morning flight. However, he had to miss it after misfiring a gun himself and sustained a bullet injury to his knee. He was then admitted to the hospital at 5:15 am. Police arrived at the incident place to investigate and registered Govinda’s revolver into custody. The case is now being evaluated by the police.

Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha provided an update on the happening to ANI. He said, “Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now.”

The manager assured that he is safe now and thanked God that nothing serious happened. The manager added, "It is due to God's grace that Govinda ji sustained only a leg injury and it was nothing serious.” Govinda aged 60 is now admitted to the hospital and is under critical care. 

The actor shared an audio clip thanking his fans, parents, and guru whose blessings saved him.  In a husky voice he confirmed, "I was hit by a bullet, but it has been extracted. I thank the doctors here and your prayers." Reportedly, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja flew to Mumbai after learning about the accident.
