Arbaaz Khan, Arshad Warsi and CM Eknath Shinde express concern over Govinda's accidental shooting incident

On Tuesday, October 1, actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. He was admitted to Mumbai's Criticare hospital for emergency surgery and is now recovering. The incident happened when Govinda was cleaning his revolver, it was around 4:45 am. The Mumbai police is now investigating the case and the revolver has been confiscated. Now Actor Arbaaz Khan reacted to this, during the trailer launch of his film "Banda Singh Chaudhary", which stars Arshad Warsi and Meher Vij in the lead roles.

During the trailer launch, when Arbaaz was asked about Govinda getting injured, he said, "Govinda is very fit. We wish him a speedy recovery. His being safe is the most important thing. Our love and prayers are with him. We wish him a speedy recovery." Arshad Warsi also expressed grief over the incident and said that "it is unfortunate" that such a serious situation came to light.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also expressed his concern for Govinda. He wished the actor a quick recovery and offered support to his family. A police official said that Govinda was about to step out of his Juhu house when the revolver was fired. He did not lodge any complaint about the incident.

Govinda also released an official statement informing his fans about his health. He said, "I am Govinda. With the blessings of my fans, parents and God, I am feeling better now. I was shot but I am fine now. The bullet has been removed. I thank my doctor Dr Agarwal and all the fans who prayed for my well-being. Thank you very much."

The incident brought back memories of both Arbaaz Khan and Govinda from the 2006 film "Bhaagm Bhaag" in which they worked together. The comedy-drama also featured several prominent actors such as Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav, Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, Razak Khan, Sharat Saxena and Asrani.
