Telugu actor Jr NTR recently lashed out at Telangana minister Konda Surekha for her baseless statement in which she alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao was the reason behind the divorce between actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and actor Naga Chaitanya. At the same time, many showbiz celebrities are also reacting to this. Recently, Jr NTR and Nani have criticised Konda Surekha for her comments on their social media handles.

Jr NTR wrote on his X ( twitter) account, "Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal life into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy. It's disappointing to see baseless statements being thrown around carelessly, especially about the film industry."

He further wrote that as long as people like her keep making such baseless allegations, the industry will not keep quiet. The RRR star concluded by saying that we must respect each other's boundaries and not normalise such reckless behaviour in a democratic India.

Nani also put in his words for the Telangana minister and wrote, "It's strange to see that politicians think they can get away with any kind of nonsense. When your words can be so irresponsible, it's stupid for us to expect you to take any responsibility for your people. It's not just about actors or cinema."

Konda Surekha wrote an apology on X and apologised to Samantha, saying that the purpose of her comment was to raise questions on disrespect and insult to women and not to hurt Samantha's feelings. He wrote, 'My comments are to question a leader's insult to women, not to hurt your feelings Samantha. I am not only impressed by the way you have grown up with self-confidence, but you are also my role model.'

This statement and apology from Konda Surekha comes just hours after KTR sent her a legal notice. KT Rama Rao had asked Konda Surekha to apologise within 24 hours, otherwise a defamation and criminal case will be filed against her.
