Nagarjuna Akkineni's family is taking legal action against Konda Surekha over her claims. On Wednesday, the Telangana political leader claimed that Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's relationship broke down due to KTR's interference, resulting in divorce. Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Amala Akkineni and Akhil Akkineni slammed these claims. Samantha Ruth Prabhu also rejected these allegations.
KTR has also issued a legal notice to Konda Surekha to withdraw her statement. Though she has withdrawn her statement, several reports are now claiming that the Akkineni family is in the process of issuing a notice to her. A separate notice will also be issued to Minister Konda Surekha from the Telugu Film Chamber.
According to Surekha, she parted ways with Naga Chaitanya when Samantha refused. Surekha had said, 'KTR asked to send Samantha in exchange for not demolishing the N-Convention Centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she refused. This led to divorce.'
The N-Convention Centre owned by Nagarjuna was partially demolished in August by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) for encroaching on the lake's buffer zone. Though Nagarjuna obtained a stay order from the High Court later that day, Surekha's comments made a lot of headlines.
Earlier, Nagarjuna had condemned Surekha's allegations. He had said, 'I strongly condemn the comments of Hon'ble Minister Mrs. Konda Surekha. Do not use the lives of film stars who are away from politics to criticise your opponents. Please respect other people's privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and allegations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately.'
