Yash Raj Films has extended its spy thriller wings introducing a female-led spy thriller Alpha. YRF has now announced that its much-anticipated action entertainer, Alpha being produced by Aditya Chopra, will hit theatres on December 25, 2025. The first female-led YRF Spy Universe film stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in titular roles. 

Alpha release date announcement news adds more anticipation to the ongoing buzz. The action thriller film will see versatile actress Alia Bhatt headlining the project and she will be joined by Sharvari -rising star of the industry and YRF’s homegrown talent. They both play super agents in the highly anticipated Spyverse film that is being directed by Shiv Rawail. 

Alpha is all set to be the perfect holiday treat for audiences as Aditya Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to make this film into a big-screen spectacle. With stunning visuals and adrenaline-pumping sequences, the film weaves together intense action and unexpected twists.

Apart from the leading ladies the film also features Anil Kapoor Kapoor in key roles. He will play the head of R&AW (Research and Operations Wing) in the suspense thriller movie. YRF is set to introduced him in the spy universe with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. The movie will also have Hrithik Roshan reprising his character Kabir from YRF’s WAR.  

Of all the upcoming movies under YRF’s Spy Universe, next in the pipeline are War 2, and Alpha. Pathaan 2 is also most awaited but right now it is in the writing stage and other updates of it have been kept under wraps. War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR catering to a mass audience across the nation. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s Alpha directed by Shiv Rawail is the first female-led spy flick.
