Baby John: Salman Khan's character details in Varun Dhawan and Atlee’s action drama revealed

Varun Dhawan’s Baby John is a highly anticipated action-packed project. The anticipation around the film built up with the addition of Salman Khan in the film. PeepingMoon.com was the first one to break Salman Khan to play a cameo in Atlee's directorial Baby John. Fans in a frenzy awaited major updates regarding this big project and now they are treated with details about Mr. Khan’s role. He is said to play a senior cop mentoring the lead character.

Baby John, a Hindi remake of Tamil film titled Theri, promises to deliver a cinematic experience bringing together Varun Dhawan and Atlee. The poster has already captivated the audience and Salman Khan’s character possibly could be worth watching. In the Hindi Version, Salman will fit in the role of Prabhu who played senior police officer. 

As per Mid-day, a source close to the development informed, “Since Salman is known for his action roles and swag, Atlee and Kalees have added some fight sequences featuring the superstar. He will be seen as a swashbuckling cop with some tongue-in-cheek dialogues.”

The source further added, “Salman’s cop is shown as something of a mentor to the protagonist. He will show faith in Varun’s character and bring him back in the police force.” Baby John centers on Dhawan's character, a devoted police officer who is compelled to leave the force after a personal tragedy. He goes into hiding to safeguard his daughter and lives a quiet life until her safety is compromised. At this point, Khan's character steps in as a mentor and guiding influence for the protagonist.

Salman Khan’s cameo promises to elevate the stakes in the film, giving fans a thrilling opportunity to see him in high-octane action sequences. The Tamil original Theri featured Thalaapathy Vijay in the lead role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Atlee who directed the Tamil film recreates it in Hindi as well - titled Baby John. With Varun Dhawan playing the lead, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff. The movie is slated to hit theaters on Christmas 2024 - December 25.
