Ranveer Singh stole the spotlight at the trailer launch of Singham Again with a sweet and heartfelt gesture toward his wife, Deepika Padukone. The actor, reprising his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated film, was seen removing the ‘nazar’ (evil eye) from Deepika’s poster during the event. Deepika, who plays the role of Shakti, aka Lady Singham, in the film, could not attend the launch, but her presence was clearly felt.
In a video shared by the paparazzi, Ranveer made a brief stop on the red carpet to admire Deepika's image on the poster before performing the traditional gesture of removing the evil eye. He even posed next to the poster, expressing his love for his wife before joining co-stars Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff at the event.
Deepika and Ranveer, who welcomed their first child a baby girl last month, have been enjoying this new phase of parenthood. The couple announced the joyous news on social media, expressing their gratitude and excitement. Their heartwarming post read simply, "Welcome baby girl," with both their names below, marking the start of this beautiful new chapter.
The couple reunites on-screen in Singham Again after more than six years, their last film together being Padmaavat, which was released in 2019. While Ranveer returns as the beloved Simmba, Deepika takes on the fierce role of Shakti. Fans are eager to see the two in action again, although it remains unclear whether their characters will be romantically linked in the film.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again is set to be a Diwali blockbuster, releasing during the festive season this year. With an ensemble cast and high expectations, the film promises to deliver another action-packed chapter in Shetty’s cop universe.
