National Awards 2024: Manoj Bajpayee calls himself a 'Lucky Artist' with special mention for 'Gulmohar'

Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee and Sharmila Tagore's film Gulmohar has won three awards at the 70th National Film Awards. This prestigious ceremony is taking place in Delhi today i.e October 8. President Draupadi Murmu is honouring the winners by giving them awards. Before the award ceremony, actor Manoj Bajpayee expressed his happiness at winning the National Award for the fourth time. Not only this, the actor has also described himself as lucky for the honour.

Recently, in a video, the actor said, "When I got it three times, even then my reaction to getting the news of the National Award was the same as it is for the fourth time. When I was at this stage in life, I used to think that if I get it once, my life will be blessed. And today by the grace of God, I have got it for the fourth time for Gulmohar. So I consider myself a very lucky artist, who is getting the National Award for the fourth time."

Manoj Bajpayee also said that his wife will attend the National Film Awards ceremony for the first time. He said that when he won this award three times, she did not go to this ceremony. The actor said that this makes his win even more special. Gulmohar won three awards at the National Film Awards - Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Screenplay (Dialogue) and Special Mention (Feature Film).

Let us tell you that Gulmohar, directed by Rahul V. Chittela, revolves around such a family. The film revolves around three generations with their own different thoughts. The mistress of the house Kusum Batra Sharmila Tagore decides and wants to sell her house 'Gulmohar', while Manoj Bajpayee tries his best to keep the family together.
