Bigg Boss 18: PETA India's directive to remove Gadhraj – Will the donkey exit the show?

'Bigg Boss 18' is in the headlines for many reasons. The contestants of the show, the theme, the anthem, Salman Khan's return as the host and the animal donkey that came into the house. All these have attracted a lot of attention from the audience. It is known that the donkey of contestant Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte has also been made a part of the show. However, 'People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETA) India is angry at this step taken by the producers. PETA has requested Salman Khan and Bigg Boss makers not to include any animal for entertainment purposes.

A donkey named Gadhraj is also a part of 'Bigg Boss 18'. He has been given a place in the garden area and the housemates have been instructed to take care of him. According to the letter sent by the PETA India team on Wednesday, they have been flooded with complaints from the public upset with the donkey living in the house. They have requested host Salman Khan to urge the producers to avoid using animals as a means of entertainment.

It is written in the letter, 'We have received complaints from many people, in which they have requested to remove Gadhraj from the show. People say that it is not right to use any animal to make the show entertaining. This will cause many problems, we request you to ask Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte to hand over Gadhraj (donkey) to PETA India.'

It is also written in the letter issued by PETA India, 'Donkey is a social animal and it should be given freedom to live in its herd. Gunaratna Sadavarte has kept this donkey to do research on milk.' PETA India team has clarified that donkeys give milk only for their children. Salman Khan, Viacom 18 and Banijay Asia (production house) are also mentioned in this letter of PETA.
