Rajinikanth's film 'Vettaiyan' was finally released in theatres on Thursday. Vettaiyan has now moved forward to show its magic in theatres. At the same time, now the OTT partner of the film has also been revealed. The film will be available on the OTT platform Prime Video after completing its journey in theatres. However, the OTT release date is yet to be announced.

Amazon Prime Video has finally acquired the OTT rights of the film by paying a substantial amount. After theatres, viewers will stream this film on Prime Video. At the same time, it is expected that the curtain will also be lifted from the OTT release date soon. Prime Video has got the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. The film will be available on the platform after the completion of theatrical rights. However, the exact date of OTT release will be told by the makers after a few weeks or a month.

Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Abirami, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan and others in important roles. The film revolves around the concept of extrajudicial killings, with Rajinikanth playing the role of an encounter specialist.

Vettaiyan is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The songs Manasilayo and Hunter Vanthaar have become chartbusters. Lyca Productions has produced the film. The camera is handled by SR Kathir. ISC B Kiruthika has written the screenplay. Meanwhile, after 'Vettaiyan', Rajinikanth is working with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj on the film 'Coolie'. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and also stars Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna Akkineni and others.
