In an interview given to Pinkvilla, when Anees Bazmee was asked if the film Sandwich directed by him was liked on TV, he told an anecdote related to Aamir Khan that he watched that film of Govinda three times. Anees Bazmee said, I met Aamir Khan in the middle. I am a big fan. He is a very nice person. So he said, Anees bhai, I saw your film Sandwich. What a film. I saw it three times. I said, you saw Sandwich three times. He further said that Aamir Khan praised Govinda's comic timing.
