Firoz Nadiadwal is known to produce some of the iconic comedy caper movies including Hera Pheri. In a turn of events, the producer has reclaimed the rights of his film portfolio after a financial settlement with Eros. Firoz has paid off dues and gained back rights of all his movies including Hera Pheri 3. The third installment of the comedy-drama brings back the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The film was was announced but never went on floors due to legal disputes, however it has now received a green signal. 

Due to a legal matter, the Hera Pheri franchise was halted, but now the path is clear as producer Firoz Nadiadwala has cleared all due to Eros. A source close to the development said, “Firoz paid off the dues and has got a No Due Certificate from the court of law for Hera Pheri and other films. He is now free to make those films as per his will, and is committed to entertain the audience and make a solid comeback.” 

The source further added, “Hera Pheri 3 is a dream project for not just Firoz, but also the OG trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. They are all ecstatic and happy with the fact that the lien has been paid back by Firoz, and the focus can now shift on creatives and logistics to take the film on floors.” 

For the unversed, last year when Firoz Nadiadwala announced his plans for Hera Pheri 3, Eros issued a legal notice stating that the rights to Hera Pheri would remain with the outstanding dues of approximately Rs 60 crore were unsettled. However, Firoz has cleared all his debuts reclaiming the rights to the franchise and several other films.
