Alia Bhatt is highly in talks for her recently released action thriller film Jigra. While she is on a promotional spree, talking candidly about her personal and professional front, she revealed being clinically diagnosed with ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder). However, the actress was diagnosed with this in childhood she spoke about it now for the first time.
Alia Bhatt mentioned that she used to get zoned out in the classroom or during a conversation. Later she got a psychological test done only to know she was affected by ADHD. However, her friends weren’t surprised with the result as they had a hint about it already. The actress even mentioned why she finds peace in front of the camera.
Speaking to Lallantop, Alia Bhatt said, "I used to get zoned out from a young age. I used to get zoned out in the classroom or during conversations. Recently, I did a psychological test and found out that I am high on the ADHD spectrum. I have ADHD - Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Whenever I told about this to my friends, they were like, ‘We always knew’. This is not some sort of revelation. But, I didn't know.”
She further added, “Then, I understood why I am at peace in front of the camera. I'm most present in that moment. Whenever I am in front of the camera, I am present as the character I am playing. And I'm most present in that moment. And now after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present. These are the two moments in my life where I am more peaceful."
On the work front, her recent release is Jigra, which is performing decently at the box office. It is an emotional heartwarming story of a brother and sister set in an intense gripping narrative. The story revolves around Alia Bhatt, a sister - Satya, who goes to extremes to save her brother Ankur who is imprisoned in a foreign jail. The power-packed action thriller directed by Vasan Bala released in theaters on October 11 in Hindi and Telugu. The film is bankrolled by Alia Bhatt in association with Karan Johar under Eternal Sunshine Productions and Dharma Productions.
