Rajkumar Rao reveals financial struggles despite box office success: 'I'm not as rich as you think'

Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao's recent film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' is released in theatres. This film is doing well at the box office, while his previous film 'Stree 2' did a record-breaking business of about Rs 600 crore. Recently, Rajkumar spoke openly about his bank balance in a podcast, in which he has made a shocking claim. Rajkumar has said that he is not as rich as he seems. Rajkumar talked about his bank balance in the 'Unfiltered with Samdish' podcast. He said that the time has come to clear some misunderstandings related to him. The actor said that even today he cannot buy a car worth crores of rupees. He also said that he has taken his house on EMI, to repay which he still pays a huge amount every month.

Rajkumar Rao said in the podcast, 'Honestly, I do not have as much money as people think. I have a house, whose EMI is quite good. In such a situation, I cannot buy a car worth 6 crores. He further said that if he thinks of buying a car worth Rs 50 lakh, then it will have to be discussed first. He also said that he can buy a car up to Rs 20 lakh, which will not have to be thought about much. Everyone is surprised after this revelation of Rajkumar.

Rajkumar's film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' was released on 11 October. In this film, he is seen with Tripti Dimri. This film is the story of a newlywed couple, whose honeymoon video gets stolen. The film also stars Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, while Mallika Sherawat has done a cameo. This film has clashed with Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra'. It is worth noting that before 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video', Rajkumar's film 'Stree 2' has rocked the box office. This film has so far collected Rs 600 crore worldwide. With this, it has also become the first Hindi film to do so.
