Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra defends nepotism: “A term coined by frustrated people”

Priyanka Chopra has cemented her career in Bollywood and Hollywood all by herself and her hard work has been evident and spoke aloud for her. Her mother Madhu Chopra has addressed the all-time big debate about nepotism. While her daughter has carved a niche without any filmy background she commented in favor of filmmakers who have been criticised for casting star kids. She believes nepotism is a term coined by frustrated people, one wouldn’t talk about it if you bring in talent.

In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Breaking Stereotypes, Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra joined the evergoing nepotism debate. She said, “When you bring in talent, merit, then you can’t talk about nepotism. It has been going on for generations in every industry. You would want to give the same opportunities to whom you love. Every parent thinks that way. But your responsibility is to hone their talent to deserve that place. Undeserving people get thrown out, nepotism doesn’t last. Nobody will put money on you if you are somebody’s son, you have to have talent. I feel nepotism is a word coined by frustrated people who don’t see this.”

Priyanka Chopra started her acting career with Tamil movies later debuted in Bollywood in 2003. Her career in Hindi cinemas spanned over 14 years before she made an entry in Hollywood. Leaving Bollywood she got settled in English cinema becoming a pan-world star. On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has resumed shooting for Citadel S2.
