Samantha Ruth Prabhu shot for the action thriller web series Citadel: Honey Bunny after battling an autoimmune disorder myositis. She was not fully recovered when she filmed the Amazon Prime Video series created by Raj & DK. She performed a lot of high-octane action sequences on her own, however, the disorder that affected her muscles proved to be a hurdle during the shoot. After receiving praise for the trailer the actress recalled she once had a concussion.
In an interview with Galata India, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalled going blank out while filming Citadel: Honey Bunny and nobody took her to the hospital. She said, “I had a concussion and I forgot the names after that.” She added, “I completely blanked out. That was quite something. Now that I think of it, nobody took me to the hospital. Nobody asked me.” Writer Sita Menon cleared, “We were on a call with a doctor. You don’t remember because you were concussed.”
Samantha recalled, “I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we have the set only for less than a day, we need to finish the shoot. So in my concussion, I was like, ‘I am coming people, I am coming.’ Then I remember the stunt guy was in front of me, and then I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ and they were like, ‘Okay, cut, not happening.’”
Concussion was an effect of the myositis Samantha was diagnosed with. A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that affects brain function. Effects are often short term and can include headaches and trouble with concentration, memory, balance, mood, and sleep.
