Mani Ratnam is a legendary filmmaker who delivered some masterpieces uplifting Indian cinema. While every celebrity dreams of working with him he has expressed his desire to work with a young actress in the South film industry. During an event of the upcoming action-adventure film Amaran, Mani Ratnam revealed he wish to work with Sai Pallavi. The Thug Life director also mentioned that he is a big fan of her.

The makers of Amaran starring Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan organized an audio launch event yesterday (October 18) in Chennai. Popular filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mani Ratnam attended the event as chief guests. During the interaction, Ratnam showered praise on Amaran’s leading actress Sai Pallavi, and confessed he is a fan of her and wants to collaborate one day.

Mani Ratnam said, "I am a big fan. I hope I get to work with you one day". Sai Pallavi was overwhelmed by the words of the director. Reacting to his statement Sai responded, "Before coming to cinema, I didn’t know names of directors. But ManiRatnam is one name I've always known. He is one of the reasons I am choosy about scripts and roles."

Sai Pallavi fans are now eagerly waiting for a possible collaboration with the ace director Mani Ratnam. For the unversed, Pallavi and Ratnam were almost set to team up for the 2017-released Kaatru Veliyidai. The director had approached the actress for a role opposite Karthik, however, things didn’t materialize and the role was taken over by Aditi Rao Hydari.
