Vijay Varma reveals internet trolls and negative comments are paid to defame an actor

Online trolling has become an unfortunate reality with actors often facing unwarranted criticism and hate. This constant negativity can affect their mental well-being and may tarnish their public image. Vijay Varma known for his impactful performance, recently opened up about the growing issue of online trolling and its effect on actors. He made a shocking revelation that the online trolls and negative comments are paid.

In an interview with Indian Express, the actor addressed the impact of trolls and expressed his concern over the effects of paid trolls. He emphasized the need to stop such negative practices, reflecting on how they mislead people into believing false stories and damage the real image of a person. He said, “What hurts me the most is that innocent people might think these comments are real, but some of it is so motivated and paid for, which has been the biggest shock.”

He further added, “This is something that really needs to be addressed. Earlier, when a film released, people would talk about it, and friends would even argue over it. We didn’t have a platform to voice our opinions back then. But now, we live in a time when there is a platform and people say whatever they want to say and we can’t do anything about that. But something that has a monetary attachment to it, should be curbed.”

On the work front, Vijay Varma has been creating waves in the OTT space. He was last seen in the crime-thriller series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. He will be next seen in a Tamil film Suriya 43. Directed by Sudha Kongara it stars, Suriya and Dulquer Salmaan in lead roles.
