Shahrukh Khan's film "Raees" was released in 2017 and it did decent business at the box office. Although the film failed to make bumper earnings, Shahrukh left no stone unturned to make it the best. Recently, The film's director Rahul Dholakia gave information about this in an interview. He said that when Shahrukh was shooting an action scene, he injured his knee. Despite this, Shahrukh continued shooting the action scene.
In an interview given to Mashable India, Rahul said, "Shahrukh's knee was swollen and at that time we had to take action shots. He was having a lot of trouble and was in pain too. I asked him how he would do it? He said, 'Don't worry friend, I will do it.' The way he kept his feet on the ground was commendable. When we were taking retakes, I told the action director to leave it, but Shah Rukh said, 'No problem, I will do it.'"
Rahul also revealed that Shah Rukh did not make any attempt to postpone the shooting of the film. He said that Shah Rukh is a very secure actor and he inspires people around him. He also said that, "Shah Rukh makes you feel comfortable. He is not an insecure actor and not an insecure person. He is always with you."
Rahul also shared his thoughts on the presence of songs in the film. He said, "I don't like songs in my films. It doesn't make sense. Even in Raees, I wrote a script that did not have songs. Ritesh Sidhwani and Shah Rukh looked at each other and said, 'What do you mean?' I said songs should not be there. He said, 'Your film will not last even a day.' I asked, 'What do the songs have to do with the film?' He said, 'You are new to the world of commercial films.'
