Aditya Roy Kapur opens up on tough period when he faced a series of flops; Recalls Vulnerable moments

Aditya Roy Kapur who recently shined in The Night Manager opened up on his tough phase when he delivered back-to-back flops. After achieving fame with Aashiqui 2 and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani he suffered a series of flop movies. The actor recently opened up on the phase of delivering consecutive flops and how crucial it was to have strong support. Reflecting on that period he mentioned having vulnerable moments.

Speaking to Kareena Kapoor Khan on her chat show What Women Want Season 2, Aditya Roy Kapur opened up about coping with failures during the initial stage of his career. He explained that while his films weren't succeeding, he was also dissatisfied with the offers he received. He was quoted saying,  “There have been vulnerable moments, like films not working or when one hasn’t had work. A few films didn’t do well, and I didn’t like anything (that was being offered), maybe because I was vulnerable at that point in time.”

Kapur was disheartened when his film didn’t work consistently. It claimed to be going through a tough phase and was without work. He said, “It was a tough period where I wasn’t liking anything and not working for a while.” He further mentioned that he received support from his friends and family throughout this time.

After Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani Aditya Roy Kapur’s Ok Jaanu was a success but again his movies didn’t perform well. His last project was Disney Plus Hotstar’s web series The Night Manager which turned out to be a success. The action thriller series also starring Anil Kapoor recently got nominated for the International Emmys.
