Indian cinema’s playback singer and actor Kishore Kumar's biopic is the ambitious project of filmmaker Anurag Basu who has been looking for actors for the film. Actors namely Ayushmann Khuranna and Ranbir Kapoor were considered earlier. Reportedly, Anurag Basu is now in talks with Aamir Khan for the biopic of the legendary singer and musician to be produced by Bhushan Kumar, according to Pinkvilla reports. The director and actor have already held 4-5 meetings.
Aamir Khan is said to be a big admirer of Kishore Kumar showed interest in the project and liked Anurag Basu’s vision to bring the life of legend to the spectacle. As per the media publication, a source close to the development revealed, “The Kishore Kumar biopic is a subject close to the heart of Anurag Basu and Bhushan Kumar, and they are looking to bring it to the spectacle in the best possible way. The filmmaker has treated it very differently, and that’s what has fascinated Aamir the most."
While is it known that Anurag Basu wants Aamir Khan in the biopic of singer Kishore Kumar, more details have been kept under wraps. His role in the said film is unknown and that creates a curiosity among fans.
Aamir Khan currently holds multiple projects in his kitty. He is now focused on Sitaare Zameen Par and wrapped up the shooting with director RS Prassana. Allegedly he is exploring and considering various projects like Kishore Kumar Biopic, Rajkumar Santoshi’s comedy-drama, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next, and Zoya Akhtar’s next. Aamir Khan also wants to be dedicated to producing great content-driven films and give a platform to new talents after the success of Laapataa Ladies.
