Kajol is gearing up for the release of her upcoming suspense thriller Do Patti. As the narrative revolves around twin sisters, the actress opened up about her relationship with her sister Tanishaa Mukerji who is also an actor. While Kajol made big in the film industry, her sibling Tanishaa struggled. She admitted the comparisons between two sisters belonging to the same profession affected their bond.
In a recent interview with News 18 Showsha, Kajol revealed that comparisons with her younger sister impacted their equation. She confessed in real life things didn’t go well with her sister because of the star status. However, she also mentioned that the quarrel between the two has been sorted out.
Kajol said, “I would say that yes, it did happen at some point, definitely. But we sorted it out. It was momentary. It wasn’t something that worked too much against us. Tanishaa is in the movies and is doing films. So, that was there but it’s not there anymore.”
In an earlier interview, Tanishaa had said, “The benchmarks for me is Kajol. She has a massive body of work and I’ve seen her through her journey. I’ve seen the love she gained, her goodwill in the industry and the kind of friendships she made. And I haven’t reached there yet. I don’t have that body of work and I haven’t received those many awards. I want to earn that kind of acclaim. I’ve a lot of respect for her.”
Kajol plays a cop for the first time in Do Patti starring Kriti Sanon in a double role. She is on a mission to investigate a mysterious case of two sisters set against a thriller narrative. Do Patti is produced by Kanika Dhillon's Katha Pictures and Kriti Sanon's Blue Butterfly Films. The film will be released on Netflix on October 25.
