Rohit Shetty will go down in history as one of Bollywood’s most successful directors with hit franchises. His comedy series Golmaal, and the action entertainers Singham, have made a mark in the industry and leave no room for disappointment among fans. Shetty’s signature is blockbuster franchises with thrilling action, humor, and larger-than-life characters. With Singham Again, the director is set to bring his famous Cop Universe back to the big screen by uniting iconic characters from his previous cop films - Singham (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Simmba (2018), and Sooryavanshi (2021). This grand Diwali release will see Ajay Devgn’s Bajirao Singham, Ranveer Singh’s Sangram Bhalerao, and Akshay Kumar’s Veer Sooryavanshi being joined by Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham aka Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya.

Apart from his Cop Universe, Shetty is also celebrated for the Golmaal series, one of Bollywood’s longest-running comedy franchises that started in 2006. So far Golmaal has had four hit films, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010), and Golmaal Again (2017), each filled with slapstick humour and unforgettable characters that have made it a big draw among comedy lovers. Given the success rate, it is easy to see why Golmaal 5 is on the cards.

In addition to films, Shetty ventured into the OTT space with Indian Police Force (2024), an Amazon Prime Video web series that dives deeper into his Cop Universe with a twist for the digital platform. This show, featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty, was well received for its intense action and engaging plot centered around terrorist blasts in Delhi. It has set the stage for a potential second season.
