Singham Again is a highly anticipated film of Bollywood packed with action, thrills, drama, and cinematic visuals. Director Rohit Shetty made Singham in 2011 and created a cop universe of it in the following years. The Singham series became a hit but for the unversed Rohit Shetty made the first installment after being inspired by Salman Khan’s Wanted.

Amid the excitement of Singham Again, an old video of Rohit Shetty is going viral where he shared that after watching Salman Khan's Wanted, he was inspired to create Singham. In the old interview, the director confessed, “I'll tell you what. I made Singham because of Wanted. That was a phase when multiplex had come in.” He goes on to share, “It was 2009, I was making All The Best. PVR had just opened up, new. And that time nobody was making mass action films. And Wanted was one underdog which came.”

He further added, “I was like, the time has come back to make mass entertainer because even, abhi multiplex mein bhi seetiya aur taali bajne lagi hain. And then, we made Singham in 2011.” What started in 2011 became India’s first cinematic cop universe with movies namely Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi, and now Singham Again. Interestingly, now Salman Khan also joins the cop universe with a cameo as Chulbul Pandey in the fifth installmnet of the action thriller series.

Singham Again brings an exciting casting coup of multiple A-listers. Apart from headliners Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. This is the third chapter of the Singham series and the fifth installment of the Rohit Shetty cop universe. Singham Again is set to hit theaters on November 1, 2024.
