The excitement around Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is immensely high. As the horror comedy franchise extends what increases the excitement is the return of Vidya Balan as the OG Manjulika from 2007 Bhool Bhulaiyaa. 17 years later she has reprised her iconic ghostly character and also joins Madhuri Dixit as her partner in crime. The OG Manjulika has now shared her views on Tabu who played Manjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

In an interview with News18 Showsha, Vidya Balan expressed that she has an admiration for Tabu's work. She believes, the latter is an effortless actor and can flow into anything. In 2007, Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa showcased Vidya Balan as Manjulika and received critical acclaim. However, when Anees Bazmee extended the franchise after 15 years in the second chapter brought Tabu on board to play Manjulika. 

Vidya said, “I love Tabu. I don’t think I spoke to her after the film. I haven’t met her in years. But I’ve always said that Tabu is one of those actors who makes everything look like she’s just sipping water. She’s so effortless. I remember that in the early years when I had watched her do Maachis, Astitva and her comedy films, I thought that she was like water. She flows into anything. Whatever she does, she’s always amazing!”

During the song launch of Ami Je Tomar 3.0, Vidya Balan revealed why was not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. She said I was very scared because the first part of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' gave me a lot. I thought, 'If I make a mistake, everything will be over.' I told Anees bhai that I cannot take this risk." She further added, "But when they offered me 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', I loved the script. I was desperate to work on this film with Anees bhai and Bhushan. Then Kartik also joined in."
