Actor Varun Dhawan welcomed a baby girl ‘Lara’ on June 3 this year with his wife Natasha Dalal. Becoming a father he started a new chapter of life accepting more responsibilities. He spoke about dad roles as he graced the hot chair on Amitabh Bachchan’s popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The Citadel actor confessed, still learning parenting and that’s when he received a golden rule advice from the megastar himself.

Varun Dhawan who is gearing up for the espionage thriller Citadel appeared on KBC 16 along with directors Raj & DK of the show. The episode went air on Wednesday night. The host Amitabh Bachchan highlighted that this Diwali will be even more special to VD as he has welcomed Goddess Lakshmi in his house.

Talking about his daughter, named ‘Lara’,  Varun said, “I’m still learning to connect with her; it’s just as you said when a baby comes home, everything changes.” Varun quizzed Big B about how he managed parental duties that kept him up at night, to this he relied, "Oh, we managed to sleep, but there was always a bit of worry: is everything okay? Back then, a new gadget had come out. You’d place it near the bed, and if the baby made even the slightest noise, it would alert us. It came in handy.”

Varun who is juggling between work and family asked Amitabh Bachchan to share some tips on parenting. Dhawan questioned the senior actor on how he balanced his work as an actor with family duties. Amitabh smiled and said, “Here’s one golden rule, keep your wife happy. If she’s content, everything else will fall into place, and with her happy, your daughter will be happy too. Remember: ‘wife is supreme.’”
