Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again is exactly what you’d expect from him, a festive entertainer packed with the action, drama and thrills that make his films a hit every single time. With Singham Again, he brings his signature larger-than-life style to the screen, creating a full-blown Diwali blockbuster that’s sure to keep audiences entertained. Every action scene is crafted to perfection, and it’s hard to look away even for a second. What’s even more interesting this time around is how Rohit has seamlessly woven elements of the Ramayana into a contemporary action setting — an unique twist that only he could pull off with such ease.
Ajay Devgn is the OG Bajirao Singham. It's been more than 12 years since the first Singham released, but the same old magic and iconic music still resonates with Ajay's entry. Singham's character has become even more refined, and this transformation is truly amazing. And hard on his heels is Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar). Akshay has proved with his action that not 2 hours, but just 10 minutes are enough to show him at his best. The audience cannot stop themselves from cheering on his entry. Ranveer Singh’s entry brings a much-needed dose of humour, especially with his “Simmba” jokes that hit just right. His timing is flawless as always, and his presence adds that light-hearted charm to balance out the intensity.
Arjun Kapoor as Danger Lanka is a surprise package, bringing a chilling presence to the screen. Even with a strong star cast, Arjun holds his ground, adding to the suspense with his menacing character. Deepika Padukone will surprise everyone with her physically demanding role, and she nails it. Watching her in action mode is a treat. Tiger Shroff also adds his usual flair to the film, and with his father Jackie Shroff joining him, it’s a delight to see them both on screen, though they don’t share a major scene together. How can we forget Kareena Kapoor Khan, and yes she is as calm as we imagine Sita in our minds.
The first half of the film takes its time, building up the story and characters. But as soon as the interval ends, the film kicks into high gear, delivering back-to-back action sequences that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s in the second half where Singham Again truly shines, giving action lovers a complete adrenaline rush. The background music in the film is another highlight, adding to the intensity of each action scene. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s a surprise twist toward the end with the entry of none other than Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) himself. His brief appearance, full of charisma and style, adds a fresh dimension to the story and is a real treat for fans.
The film connects with the Singham franchise in meaningful ways, bringing a sense of continuity that fans of the series will appreciate. Rohit Shetty has managed to blend these callbacks with the fresh plot seamlessly, making it both nostalgic and refreshing.
Overall, Singham Again is packed with action, laughter, and everything you’d want in a festive film. The second half alone makes it worth watching, with its powerful scenes and unexpected twists. If you’re looking for a high-energy, fun film this Diwali, Singham Again is the one to watch.
