Karan Johar has been a single parent to his children Roohi and Yash since he welcomed them in 2017 via surrogacy. He has now opened up about his unusual 'Modern Family' and fears tough questions from his kids. In one of the episodes of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, the filmmaker confessed his biggest fear. This came up when Neelam Kothari spoke about her first marriage and her daughter she adopted with her second husband, actor Samir Soni.
In one of the episodes of the Netflix show, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, Karan Johar who got emotional to Neelam’s statement, said, “That really moved me because I remember those days so clearly. I really teared up, I was actually connecting to it on an emotional level. You spoke about your daughter and that’s also something that struck a chord with me.”
Addressing his fear, Karan added, “My constant fear is that I also have to deal with those questions from my own children about my circumstances and that I have a modern family situation. They will find out things, and I will have to be answerable. Being a single parent, I know I am answerable to my children about so many aspects."
Well, the filmmaker makes a great father to Yash and Roohi who are 7 years young. KJo has often shared candid moments with them on his social media. He co-parents the kids with his mother however, he speaks about the challenges and difficulties of being a single parent.
