Huma Qureshi, who is known for her acting, recently revealed why she turned down two big films. She said that these films were offered to her at a low salary and also the other actors who were cast in these films did not have as much experience as Huma had of working on OTT platforms. Huma believes that popularity on social media does not mean that the film or show will be liked by the audience.
In a media interview, Huma spoke about this in detail and said that she always makes decisions honestly. She also said that despite many big names, she felt that actors more experienced than her were not working in these films. Huma said, "Without naming names, I was offered two major films, but I could not do it because the actors who were cast in these films did not have as much OTT experience as I had."
Huma also clarified that she is ready to work in films, but only if her character is given as much importance as other actors are being given. At this point in her career, Huma believes that she does not need to compromise on anything. The team had said that this film has two lead roles, but Huma talked about increasing her salary on this. When things didn't work out, she turned down both the films.
Huma said, "They told me that both these films have lead roles, but as a senior actress I demanded a salary hike. When we could not agree, I refused to do these films." Huma Qureshi said that she faces such situations with honesty and respect. Notably, Huma Qureshi recently worked in the second season of Zee5's show Mithya. Her upcoming films include Pink and Bayan. Apart from this, she will also be seen in Jolly LLB 3, as reported by Pinkvilla.
