The film ‘Singham Again’ has earned as much on the big screen as was expected, but considering the budget of the film, its earnings so far cannot be called satisfactory. Meanwhile, recently the film's director Rohit Shetty told why he did not show Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's characters together and did not have any conversation between the two.
Rohit Shetty revealed in a conversation with News18 that the film 'Singham Again' is based on the theme of Ramayana, and hence he did not want people's religious sentiments to be hurt by any part of the film. He said, "There is no conversation between Ranveer's character and Deepika's character, because we did not want anyone to get hurt. We could have also shown a light-hearted joke between the two, but since Ranveer's character was a symbol of Hanuman ji, we did not find it right. It could have gone wrong even by mistake." Rohit further said, "There are some funny conversations between Ranveer and Akshay, and we could have done something similar between Ranveer and Deepika, but we took this decision deliberately. We knew what we could do, what we could not do and what we could say."
He also said, "We were very concerned about this while shooting the film. We were confident about the star cast and action, but we had to keep in mind that no aspect related to Ramayana in the film should hurt anyone's sentiments. Our biggest objective was to respect anyone's religious sentiments. I was not as worried about the success of the film at the box office as I was about any controversy related to Ramayana."
