It turns out Firoz Nadiadwala’s ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is not the only wildlife adventure film on Bollywood’s cards. Luv Ranjan has one in mind too tentatively titled ‘Ranger’. And while the ‘Welcome’ franchise being directed by Ahmed Khan has reportedly an ensemble cast of 34 including Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Aftab Shivdasani, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, and Krushna Abhiskek, there is only Ajay Devgn in the Jagan Shakti directorial ‘Ranger’.
Ajay and Luv are currently shooting ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ and will kick off ‘Ranger’ in December and shoot through 2025 to complete it. The actor, who is still accepting compliments for his Diwali release ‘Singham Again’, reportedly plays a forest officer in search of a historic relic while protecting the forest and preserving wildlife. The film, an Indiana Jones type of action adventure, is based on folklore and mythology. In keeping with Harrison Ford’s weather-beaten look in the Indiana Jones films, Ajay will sport a distinct avatar in ‘Ranger’ quite different from anything he has had before.
