Famous comedian and actor Kapil Sharma is surrounded by controversies these days. His show The Great Indian Kapil Show has been accused of hurting the religious sentiments of the Bengali community and tarnishing the image of the great Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. In this regard, a legal notice has been sent to him on November 1. Through this notice, the complainants have expressed concern over the misrepresentation of Bengalis in the show.
This legal notice has been sent to Kapil Sharma's show by Dr. Mandal, who is the president of the Bango Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation. In this notice sent through his legal advisor Nripendra Krishna Roy, it has been said that some things have been said in The Great Indian Kapil Show, which insults the great work of Rabindranath Tagore and his contribution. It also states that this show can hurt the religious and cultural sentiments of Bengalis not only in India but all over the world.
In response to this notice, the producer of the show has said that they never intended to misrepresent Thakur's work and legacy. The producer issued a statement saying, "The Great Indian Kapil Show is a comedy program, which is intended only for entertainment." He also said that the show is a parody and fictional, which does not aim to insult any particular person or community.
Meanwhile, news also came out that Salman Khan's production house has also received a legal notice in this matter. However, now the actor's team has reacted to this and distanced itself from The Great Indian Kapil Show. Salman's legal team issued an official statement saying, "It is being said in some media reports that Salman Khan / SKTV has also received the notice, which is wrong as we are not associated with The Great Indian Kapil Show." It was clarified in the statement that Salman's production house is not associated with this show, so this legal notice will not affect them.
