Maheep Kapoor made her screen debut in 2022 with Netflix's show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The show has had three seasons so far. Fans love the chemistry between Maheep and her husband, actor Sanjay Kapoor. Recently, Maheep revealed in a show how she met Sanjay Kapoor for the first time. She told that she had forcibly entered a party at that time because she was very drunk.

According to media reports, Maheep Kapoor recalled her and Sanjay's love story and said, "Our love story was quite simple. I had spent time with a person one night and I did not know that I was going to marry him. I reached Sanjay's party and met him there. I was drunk. I met his entire family there, my mother-in-law and father-in-law as well. You guys know my family, Anil (Kapoor), Sunita, Sri (Sridevi). I was drunk." Maheep further said, "We were all partying at a nightclub and everyone was drunk. Sanjay said to me, 'Okay, we are getting married.' And I was taking tequila shots in between and I said, 'Okay, okay.' That was it." Maheep dated Sanjay for five years before marriage and now they have been married for 30 years.

According to media reports, in the first season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Maheep had told Sohail Khan's ex-wife Seema Sajdeh, "In the early days of marriage, Sanjay did something wrong. I learned to stand up for myself with Shanaya."

Sanjay Kapoor is the youngest brother of Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor. Maheep and Sanjay got married in 1997. Their first child, daughter Shanaya Kapoor, was born in 1999. Their son Jahan Kapoor was born in 2006.
