South film industry's famous actress Nayanthara has written an open letter to actor Dhanush, in which she has expressed deep concern over the questions raised regarding the release of her Netflix documentary and Dhanush's attitude. In the letter, Nayanthara said that this documentary is based on her life, career, love and marriage and it took the hard work of an entire team to make it. Nayanthara wrote that she is an actress who has made her place in the industry without any film family or big connections. She also said that she is where she is today because of her hard work and the love of the audience.
Nayanthara said that she and her team waited for two years for this documentary, but there was repeated non-cooperation from Dhanush. In particular, a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) and approval from Dhanush was required for some songs and scenes included in the documentary, which he was repeatedly refusing to give. Nayanthara spoke about how heartbroken she was by the delay and how it saddened her and the entire team.
She specifically mentioned Dhanush's refusal to use songs and certain scenes from "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan", which are still highly appreciated by the audience and fans. Nayanthara said that including these songs and scenes in the documentary could have presented her story in a deeper and more real way. But Dhanush did not allow it, which she found very painful. Nayanthara also mentioned in the letter that the documentary also included many well-wishers and colleagues, who contributed to the important moments of her life and her journey in the film industry, and whose contribution was invaluable. In such a situation, Dhanush's negative attitude hurt not only her, but all her colleagues as well.
At the end of the letter, Nayanthara directly questioned Dhanush as to why he did not cooperate with the documentary even though it was such an important aspect not just for her career but for the entire film industry and her audience. In the letter, Nayanthara made it clear that her work and struggle should be respected and that the songs and scenes that were required to be included in the documentary should not have been hindered.
