Diljit Dosanjh responds to Telangana’s legal notice with humor: 'I’ll stop singing alcohol songs if states go dry'

Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh recently came into the limelight when the Telangana government sent him a legal notice. In this notice, the government had requested him not to sing songs promoting alcohol, intoxication or violence in his upcoming Hyderabad concert. Now Diljit has responded to this notice in a funny way.

During his concert in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Diljit talked to his audience on this legal issue. He said that he had not received any notice till that day, but also said that he would not sing songs based on alcohol respecting the ban law of Gujarat. Diljit further commented on Bollywood and said that there are many songs related to alcohol in Bollywood, but only a few of his songs mention alcohol. After this, he took a dig at Bollywood stars and said that he himself does not promote alcohol nor supports it.

During his concert, Diljit said, "Even today I will not sing any song based on alcohol, because Gujarat is a banned state. If all the states ban alcohol, then I will also stop singing alcohol-based songs." Along with this, Diljit made a funny proposal, "Let's start a movement. If all the states declare themselves alcohol-free states, then from the next date I will not sing alcohol-based songs in my concerts." He also said that if the city in which he performs, the day is declared without alcohol, then he will not sing alcohol-based songs. After this statement, Diljit Dosanjh not only made the audience laugh, but once again won everyone's heart with his funny and thoughtful style of answering.
