Malaysian martial arts superstar Michelle Yeoh, best known for her action movies with Jackie Chan and for her role as the Chinese spy Wai Lin in the 1997 James Bond actioner Tomorrow Never Dies, has expressed the desire to act in Indian films. Yeoh, who is 62 and won the 2023 Best Actress Oscar for Everything All at Once, is not just an accomplished martial artist, but is also a trained ballet dancer, and has shown great fair for doing Hollywood romantic comedies. The thing is, she has said she is fascinated by Indian cinema and would love to act here, but Yeoh has not specified whether it is Bollywood that attracts her or one of the Southern film industries in which the action is larger than life. If it’s Bollywood, then Rohit Shetty would do well to consider Yeoh for his next Cop Universe thriller. Remember she was the perfect foil to Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies. Just think how Yeoh would light up the screen opposite Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh in a Singham, Sooryavanshi or Simmba film!
