Yesterday, actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra was in the headlines due to the raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This action was taken in the money laundering case related to the dissemination of pornographic content through mobile applications. It is worth noting that this case is not new; in the year 2021 also a case was registered against Raj Kundra regarding the same matter. At the same time, Shilpa Shetty's name has also been linked to this case in some media reports. Shilpa's lawyer gave a clarification on this yesterday evening. Now Raj Kundra has also expressed displeasure over repeatedly taking his wife's name in this case.
Raj Kundra shared a note on his Instagram account and wrote that he is fully cooperating in the investigation going on for the last four years. He said that no sensational news can hide the truth and justice will prevail in the end. Taking his point further, he said that it is unbearable for his wife Shilpa Shetty's name to be repeatedly dragged in this matter and people should respect her personal boundaries.
Shilpa Shetty's lawyer Prashant Patil also said in a statement last evening that Shilpa Shetty has nothing to do with the ED raid or any matter related to it. He termed the reports coming in the media as completely false. The lawyer also said that if any false news or statement is issued against Shilpa, strict legal action will be taken against her.
ED is currently investigating the money laundering case related to the creation and dissemination of pornographic content through mobile apps. In this connection, ED raided Raj Kundra's house and office and questioned him. Searches were also conducted at about 15 places in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh.
