Remember Ajay Devgn’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ of 2020? Buoyed by its success, the actor and filmmaker was to take the ‘Unsung Warrior’ series ahead with director Om Raut and feature more heroes of the Indian freedom struggle in action biopics. Now it seems Ajay and Om and working on the plan. And while they have not really sealed on a story, buzz is that Ajay is keen on having Hrithik Roshan as the antagonist in this future film. You remember he cast Saif Ali Khan as Tanhaji’s evil adversary Udaybhan Singh Rathod and what a fine job the Chote Nawab did of that. Now Ajay is convinced Hrithik will pull off the same magic in the second film of the ‘Unsung Warriors’ series. If that happens, this will be the first pairing of these Bollywood superstars, because Ajay will undoubtedly play the lead. Incidentally, Ajay and Om had considered bringing the story of 17th century Maratha Army general Baji Prabhu Deshpande to screen. But then the 2022 Marathi film ‘Pawankhind’ explored the same subject. So that was put on hold.
