Following the post, people mistook it as Vikrant's retirement and a lot of speculations started following it. However, a day later, Vikrant cleared the confusion and clarified that he has no intention of quitting acting. He said that his post has been misunderstood.
In a recent interview, Vikrant broke his silence on the 'retirement' post that went viral on Monday. He said that his aim was not to retire but he wanted to take a break from the industry for some time. Vikrant clarified, "I am not retiring. I am just tired and I need a long break." He further added, "I am missing home and my health is also getting affected. People misunderstood my social media posts."
Meanwhile, Vikrant attended the screening of his latest film The Sabarmati Report on Monday evening. This was his first public appearance after his Instagram post. During the screening, he talked about the film and shared his experience of watching it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MPs. However, he did not take any questions about quitting films.
Vikrant had written in his Instagram post, "The last few years and the times before that have been amazing. I thank everyone who always supported me, but as I move forward, I realise that it is time to reorient myself and return home, as a husband, father, son and actor."
