Buzz is that the long-awaited sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 war drama ‘Border’ is finally happening. Sources say that it will go on the floors on January 5, in Dehradun. Director Anurag Singh and writer Nidhi Dutta are putting together a cast after completing research on the story with a former Major of the Indian Army. It focuses on a chapter of the Indo-Pak 1971 war. Designer Sheetal Sharma is taking the retired Army man’s advice in the costumes, making sure the uniforms and badges are accurate and in keeping with the period. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, who will gear up for this battle, have given their look tests for the sequel. The four lead actors play officers from Army, Navy and Air Force. The likely plan is to begin with a massive action sequence involving all four. And yes, Sunny plays a Sardar again.
