Allu Arjun is accused of arriving at the Sandhya theatre on December 4 without any information for the screening of his film 'Pushpa 2', which led to a stampede. A huge crowd tried to enter the theatre, crushing 39-year-old Revathi and her son. Both of them fainted due to suffocation. The police rushed Revathi and her son to the hospital, where doctors declared Revathi dead while her son was in critical condition.
Revathi's husband and other family members lodged a complaint at the Chikkapalli police station, blaming Allu Arjun for the accident. Following this, the police registered a case against Allu Arjun and his security team as well as the theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1). The theatre owner, manager and balcony supervisor were already arrested in the case and are in judicial custody.
During the hearing in the court, the prosecution and Allu Arjun's lawyer presented their arguments. At the end of the hearing, the prosecution told the court that Allu Arjun was forbidden from attending the screening of the film. The court then asked if there was any such note or letter in which the actor (Allu Arjun) and the actress (Rashmika Mandanna) were called by the theatre. The prosecution said that the SHO had informed the film team about this and will present this document in the court.
The prosecution also said that Allu Arjun was aware that an unpleasant incident could happen if he attended the screening of 'Pushpa 2'. On this, the court questioned what was the thing about which he had this information that an unpleasant incident could happen. He is an actor, he had to come to the theatre only after taking permission.
