Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Pvt. Ltd. is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its critically acclaimed film "Swades", starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. The film was directed, produced and co-written by Ashutosh Gowariker, while his wife Sunita Gowariker was also the producer. "Swades" was the first film under their production banner. The music and background score of the film was composed by music legend A.R. Rahman, and the lyrics were penned by renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar. "Swades" is considered a timeless film that was ahead of its time and still holds a place in the hearts of audiences across the world. It is regarded as one of Shah Rukh Khan's finest performances, telling the story of an NRI returning to India, searching for his roots and trying to bring about a change in his country.
