Recently, Sonakshi Sinha had reacted to actor-politician Mukesh Khanna's statement in which he expressed anger over Sonakshi not answering a question related to Lord Hanuman in "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) 2019. On this, Sonakshi wrote a long Instagram story and gave a befitting reply to Mukesh Khanna. Now, Sonakshi's father and actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has also reacted to the issue and strongly criticized Mukesh Khanna's statement.

Shatrughan Sinha said in a recent interview, "Why does anyone have a problem that Sonakshi did not answer the question related to Ramayana? First of all, what right does this person have to be an expert about Ramayana? And who has given him the right to be the guardian of Hinduism?"

Speaking in Sonakshi's defence, Shatrughan Sinha said, "Not answering the question related to Ramayana does not mean that Sonakshi is a bad Hindu. I feel proud of all my three children. Sonakshi has made herself a star with her hard work, I never needed to launch her. She is such a daughter every father should be proud of." He also said, "Sonakshi does not need to take a certificate of being a Hindu from anyone."

Earlier, Mukesh Khanna had said in many interviews that it was regrettable that Sonakshi did not answer that question correctly. He also said, "People were angry that Sonakshi did not know this question, but I say that it is not her fault, it is her father's fault. Why did he not teach his children about Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma? If I were Shaktimaan, I would definitely have made the children sit and taught them about Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma."

After this, Sonakshi had reacted strongly against Mukesh Khanna in her Instagram story. Sonakshi wrote, "Let me remind you that there were two women on the hot seat that day who did not know the same question, but only my name was taken, and the reason is clear. Sometimes I forget, and that is normal. Yes, that day I might have forgotten, it is human nature and I forgot for whom the Sanjivani booti was brought."

Finally, Sonakshi requested Mukesh Khanna not to bring up the incident again and again and not tarnish her and her family's image in the media. She said, "Next time you decide to say something about the values taught by my family, remember that the same values teach me to respect, while you have made meaningless statements on my upbringing. I wish you good health."

This entire controversy escalated because Mukesh Khanna also targeted Sonakshi's father and said that it was his responsibility. Shatrughan Sinha expressed his love and pride for his daughter, making it clear that Sonakshi has made her own place and does not need any certificate from anyone.
