Shaktimaan fame actor Mukesh Khanna raises concerns over Ranbir Kapoor's casting as Lord Ram in 'Ramayana'

Actor Mukesh Khanna is constantly commenting on the personal lives of film actors these days. Recently, he commented on Sonakshi Sinha's upbringing, after which Sonakshi replied to him. After this, Mukesh Khanna also gave his clarification. Now after Sonakshi, Mukesh Khanna has also commented on Ranbir Kapoor. The 'Shaktimaan' fame actor has raised questions on the casting of Ranbir Kapoor in the film 'Ramayana'.

Mukesh Khanna, while talking to Mid Day recently, made a controversial statement on casting Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's film 'Ramayana'. On this, he said, "I will not say anything on this. If I say something, I will be accused of commenting on everyone and everything. People have tarnished my image. Recently I commented on Jackie Shroff's son... I am not rude, but I say what I think."

Mukesh Khanna further said, "If 'Ramayana' is being made, then it will be compared to Arun Govil." Let us tell you that actor Arun Govil played the role of Lord Ram in Doordarshan's serial 'Ramayana', which was very much liked. On the casting of Ranbir Kapoor, Mukesh Khanna said, "Whoever plays the role of Lord Ram, he should be molded as Ram. He should not look like Ravana." Mukesh Khanna also said, "If you are playing the role of Lord Ram, you should not be allowed to party and drink alcohol. If he is an angry goon (languid little girl) in real life, then it will also show on screen. But who am I to decide who plays the role of Lord Ram." Mukesh Khanna gave Prabhas as an example in the film 'Adipurush' and said that even though he is a big actor, people could not accept him as Lord Ram. He said, "It is not that he is a bad actor, but in reality he does not look like Lord Ram." Mukesh Khanna advised the filmmakers to be careful during casting. He said, "The actor who plays the role of Ram should have a face like Ram."
