Producer-director Atlee, who made the blockbuster film "Jawaan" with Shah Rukh Khan, is currently in the news for his next film "Baby John". The film is set to release next week on the occasion of Christmas and will feature Varun Dhawan in some action packed Avatar.
Now, Atlee and producer Murad Khetani have announced their next project, which will be a Tamil thriller. The film will star Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. The duo is coming together again, and the subject of the film is such that it will completely justify Vijay Sethupathi's acting prowess and star power. Tamil director Balaji Tharaneetharan will helm this yet-untitled film, marking his third collaboration with Sethupathi following Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012) and Seethakaathi.
As per the Source, The shooting of the film will begin from January 2025. The film is slated to release in theatres by the end of the next year. A source, while speaking to Pinkvilla, said, "The subject of the film is great and everyone is excited about the project. The thriller will do complete justice to Vijay Sethupathi's stature and stardom." Murad Khetani also confirmed about the project saying, "We have many projects but one film has been finalised. Atlee sir and I are going to start a Tamil film which will start shooting very soon. We will share more details about it soon."
Furthermore, Atlee also expressed his happiness towards the project and said, "Yes, it is a film with Vijay Sethupathi sir. It is a great story on which Murad sir and I have worked for the last two years. It will be the next blockbuster of Cine1 and A for Apple."
The announcement comes just ahead of the release of "Baby John", which is being produced by Atlee, Murad Khetani and Jio Studios.
