Baby John vs Pushpa 2: Distribution dispute escalates, Anil Thadani warns theaters

Pushpa 2: The Rule has made a huge splash at the box office and has become the fastest Indian film to gross Rs 1400 crore worldwide. The Allu Arjun starrer has attracted a massive audience since its release and is setting new records of success. The film has performed well in the second week as well, raising expectations that the film will do good business in the upcoming weekend as well. However, the film is facing some challenges in the third week.

According to reports, Pushpa 2 is facing differences between its distributor Anil Thadani and the distributors of Varun Dhawan starrer Baby John. Baby John is set to release on December 25 on the occasion of Christmas. Meanwhile, Anil Thadani has demanded from theatres to give equal number of shows to both the films till December 26 to ensure that Pushpa 2 continues to get enough shows. This means that 'Pushpa 2' will get more shows and there will be no less shows for 'Baby John', so that there is no hindrance in the earnings of the film. If the theater owners do not agree to this condition, Anil Thadani has warned that they will not give a release order (RO) to 'Pushpa 2' for the weekend, which can make the situation more difficult.

This is not the first time that such a situation has come to the fore. Earlier also, at the time of release of 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', there was a disagreement between AA Films and PVR Inox Pictures regarding screen share.

On the other hand, the film 'Baby John' is going to be released on the occasion of Christmas. It is directed by director Kales and produced by Atlee. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh and Vamika Gabbi in the lead roles, while Salman Khan will be seen in a cameo role. A completely new and different avatar of Varun Dhawan will be seen in the film, which has excited the audience.
