Vivek Oberoi reveals he rejected Shahrukh Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' due to scheduling conflicts

There was a time in Bollywood when Vivek Oberoi's films were becoming hits and his acting was being appreciated. But then his career got affected due to the controversy with Salman Khan. Currently Vivek Oberoi is seen less in films, but he remains in the news as a businessman. Recently, he said in an interview that he had rejected a big film of Shahrukh Khan due to some reasons.

Vivek Oberoi was offered an important role in Shahrukh Khan's film 'Om Shanti Om', but he did not sign this film. Vivek told that at that time he had started shooting for the film 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', and he did not have dates. In such a situation, it was not possible for Vivek Oberoi to be a part of Shahrukh Khan's film, even if he wanted to. It is also notable that Shahrukh Khan and Vivek Oberoi never worked together in a film. Shahrukh Khan did a cameo in the film 'Saathiya', in which Vivek Oberoi was in the lead role. Vivek described that one day of shooting with Shah Rukh Khan as a great experience.

In an interview given a few days ago, Vivek Oberoi also talked about that difficult phase of his career. Vivek said, "That bad time of my career was due to a controversy. This caused me a lot of financial loss." He also said that during this difficult phase he had to face mental stress. Apart from this, he also started getting threats from the underworld. Vivek said, "Sometimes Papa (actor Suresh Oberoi) used to get threats on phone for me, and sometimes Mummy. Initially we used to think that maybe someone was joking, but later Mumbai Police told us that these threats are coming from the underworld." Vivek Oberoi also said that he was getting death threats, due to which he had to be cautious about his safety.

The bad phase that Vivek Oberoi is talking about was actually the time when his controversy with Salman Khan was in the headlines, and this controversy caused a lot of damage to his career.
